Wow, it's amazing how uplifting nice weather is.
Yesterday was a beautiful day as far as early Spring goes. It was fairly warm and the sun was shining. Today is also nice and warm, but not sunny.
The snow has melted incredibly fast! It actually looks like it's been raining nonstop because of all the melting.
Despite the nice weather, I'm stuck inside catching up on some sewing and ironing. Oh the excitement! ;)
I'm writing to you very full of chocolate! Easter was really enjoyable, but almost as bad as Christmas in terms of pigging out! My weakness is definitely any kind of candy shell "egg", they only come out once a year so they're so tempting!
I have to comment on this, because I find it unexpected. It's supposed to snow tonight!!! Anywhere from 5-10 centimetres. I thought it was basically done snowing! Oh well. I barely blink an eye now because of all it's snowed this Fall/Winter and now Spring!
Well, I should probably go for a walk or something in attempt to compensate for all the Easter goodies!
Well, yesterday was officially the first day of Spring! It's hovering right around 0 degrees (32 F) right now, so it sure doesn't feel like Spring! But it is finally sunny which is nice!
It's my daughter's birthday so we're just going to go bake some goodies! Happy Birthday Em!
Wow, I'm finally back to business after a hectic holiday! Don't get me wrong, I love Christmas, but I'm also looking forward to moving on and seeing what 2008 has in store.
Hope everyone had a fantastic holiday, spent time with friends and family, exchanged gifts and ate great food! Haha, speaking of food, it's definitely a struggle to get back in the swing of eating healthily with no more treats! But it's definitely for the best ;)
As for weather, it has been very cold, especially with wind chill but no signifigant snow. I'm sure we'll have enough of that stuff in the early spring (spring? seems more like winter!!!) so I'm not too anxious, ha ha.
I just disassembled my christmas tree this morning, actually. It's an artifical one, so after a struggle I've finally put it back in its cardboard box and away in the basement, waiting for next December! The living room corner looks so bare without it!
I've got to run some errands (mainly getting in some real food :P!) so I'll be off.
Happy New Year 2008!
Well, the forecast calls for some flurries tomorrow! It's been snowing quite frequently for weeks now but we've yet to have any major snowstorm, we'll see if this time is the one!
Today I gathered some songs to compile a Christmas music playlist! I really love the jazzy, retro Christmas songs so I've got a great collection to listen to now for the holiday both on itunes, ipod and I burnt it to CD for the car. The artists include Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Kay Starr and some others. All really amazing singers and fun songs! Christmas doesn't seem to be Christmas without the classics.
As my activities online.. browsing around hopelessly drooling at various electronics, clothes, shoes and accessories I'd love to find magically in my stocking! (haha). I also really enjoy looking at flick and the beautiful photographs such talented people share with the world everyday. In ways I really feel lucky to be able to see these beautiful photos, without the internet I really would be much more in the dark. If you aren't familiar with flickr it's a photo sharing website made by Yahoo. As well as the basic snapshots it's got LOTS of more creative photographs as it boasts many wonderful amateur and experienced photographers. And of course you can share your own masterpieces! I really recommend you check it out if you haven't already: Flickr
It's getting late so I should be getting to bed, I'll keep my eye on the weather tomorrow!
P.S. Can you believe.. only 17 days until Christmas! Where has the time gone?
