I'm writing to you very full of chocolate! Easter was really enjoyable, but almost as bad as Christmas in terms of pigging out! My weakness is definitely any kind of candy shell "egg", they only come out once a year so they're so tempting!
I have to comment on this, because I find it unexpected. It's supposed to snow tonight!!! Anywhere from 5-10 centimetres. I thought it was basically done snowing! Oh well. I barely blink an eye now because of all it's snowed this Fall/Winter and now Spring!
Well, I should probably go for a walk or something in attempt to compensate for all the Easter goodies!
For my daughter's birthday this Friday, we decided to try out this dessert found here:

to try out! It definitely LOOKS good, the recipe is definitely modified from a traditional cheesecake recipe, but that change is hopefully good! I always wanted to find a lighter alternative to cheesecake, not so much in fat/calories but taste and texture! (Though I guess cheesecake could do with a cut in it's fat also, lol)
So fingers crossed, I hope it will turn out delicious!
Wow, I'm finally back to business after a hectic holiday! Don't get me wrong, I love Christmas, but I'm also looking forward to moving on and seeing what 2008 has in store.
Hope everyone had a fantastic holiday, spent time with friends and family, exchanged gifts and ate great food! Haha, speaking of food, it's definitely a struggle to get back in the swing of eating healthily with no more treats! But it's definitely for the best ;)
As for weather, it has been very cold, especially with wind chill but no signifigant snow. I'm sure we'll have enough of that stuff in the early spring (spring? seems more like winter!!!) so I'm not too anxious, ha ha.
I just disassembled my christmas tree this morning, actually. It's an artifical one, so after a struggle I've finally put it back in its cardboard box and away in the basement, waiting for next December! The living room corner looks so bare without it!
I've got to run some errands (mainly getting in some real food :P!) so I'll be off.
Happy New Year 2008!
With Christmas so close, everyone is so franticly racing around, especially in major shopping areas. The traffic is crazy!
What usually takes about 15 minutes to get from home to the shopping centre took 40 minutes, it's a zoo out there! So much more volume on the road than usual, with people getting last minute Christmas gifts and preparations. I'm really going to try and lay low these next few days and avoid the major shopping parts, It's bound to get even crazier as it gets really down to the wire! Oh well, at least I've finished almost all of my Christmas shopping, both gifts and food. That sure is a nice feeling, ha ha.
Despite the stress and madness, I am really looking forward to seeing all of the family, exchanging gifts and eating some really yummy (and really fattening!) food. There's always the New Year to care ;)!
The weather has been pretty mild, a bit chilly but no more snow. The stuff we got last week has really melted!
Happy Holidays everyone
